Crawfordsville, Ind. (CNS) -- Mrs. Nelle T. Simms, 72, a native of Montgomery County, died yesterday (Feb. 7, 1967) in Culver Hospital. She had been injured Sunday night in an auto crash blamed on icy roads and was the second 1967 traffic fatality in the county. Five others were injured in the crash. Born Oct. 9, 1894, she was the daughter of Joseph W. and Dove Follick Taylor. She was married to Frank L. Simms Dec. 31, 1914 in Crawfordsville and he died in 1953. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Highland Social Club, Arts and Crafts League, was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star and an adviser of Rainbow for Girls. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn McLamroch of Speedway; two brothers, Albert Taylor of Yountsville and Russell of Rockford, Ill., and two grandchildren. Two brothers also preceded her. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph M. Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.
